Vermont Conference in action

Pastors and churches in the Vermont Conference, UCC take action to witness for justice issues including immigration, LGBTQ+, racial equality, environment, women's rights, access to healthcare, providing summer lunches and many other issues surrounding equality, justice and human dignity.

Four VTCUCC Clergy participated in the March to Dover protesting the incarceration of immigrant and assylum seekers, and especially the harsh treatment and in seven cases, death of incarcerated migrant children.

Vermont Conference Clergy Respond to Anti-LGBTQ+ Violence

In response to recent anti-LGBTQ+ acts in Vermont, clergy of the Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ are speaking out in support of the LGBTQ+ community.  

Black Lives Matter: Racism and the Church

The Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ (UCC) has issued a statement regarding the murder of George Floyd, the white supremacy that underlies it and a lamentation of our silence in the face of systemic racism and its consequences for people of color. This statement is signed by the staff of the Vermont Conference, UCC as well as scores of UCC ministers living and serving in Vermont.
